Water Quality Resources
"We are proud to serve families and businesses
in the Chariton and Linn Counties."
Our job is to manage the water resource for our patrons and we strive to provide the best possible water service. The District has two sources of water - we purchase all of our water from the cities of Marceline and Brookfield. To deliver the water we have four pump stations, three 100,000 gallon elevated storage tanks, seven 47,000 gallon stand pipes with over 1200 miles of water mains. We continue to upgrade and install new water distribution improvements to better serve you – our customers.
The Linn and Chariton Public Water Supply has a Water Emergency Supply Plan. We rely on our customers water conservation to ensure an adequate supply of drinking water to all customers. One of the most important components of the Plan will be keeping you, the customer, informed. Please click here for the Water Emergency Supply Plan.

Consumer Confidence Report
All people have the right to know what is in their drinking water and where it comes from. The Consumer Confidence Report describes the quality of water people are consuming within our district. It also provides an opportunity for Public Water Supply District No. 3 to educate consumers about the sources and quality of our drinking water.
